I have some axis 209's installed on network, but whatever settings have been configured, the frame rate never seems to get above 6.

If i set frame rate of 4 = 4, however if set frame rate of 8 =6.
Have tried changeing compression values etc but cannot achieve

Possible reasons of low fps:

1) high level of "Max exposure time" parameter setting in "Low Light Behavior" section of "Video&Image settings/Advanced",- set the lower time for exposure;

2) multiple motion detection event setting - switch off all motion detection triggers/events;

3) a lot of viewers at the time - disconnect all other viewers by disabling anonymous viewer login or/and by viewer login modification.

If it doesn't help - reset all settings to the factory defaults and make the settings step by step with fps control (do it carefully from the same LAN where camera connected).
